The tech blogger reportedly claimed that the price has increased due to the rising cost of chipsets and storage. Therefore, the smartphone maker is deciding to increase the prices. Apart from this, Xiaomi founder and president Lei Jun had hinted at the Xiaomi 14 launch event, which confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 series will go beyond the starting price of 3,999 yuan.

Ming-Chi Kuo also previously revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will use TSMC’s N3E process, which has increased manufacturing costs. It is priced about 25-30 percent higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, ranging from $190 (roughly Rs. 15,906) to $200 (roughly Rs. 16,743). This expensive chip will affect the price of the Xiaomi 15 series. Based on the leak, the Xiaomi 15 series will get a lot of upgrades, including a larger primary sensor, telephoto macro, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, glass body, silicon anode battery, wireless rapid charging and IP68 rated body that ensures protection from dust and water.
The standard version of Xiaomi 15 will be equipped with a flat screen with 1.5K resolution with a compact and portable design. At the same time, Xiaomi 15 Pro will get a micro-curved screen with 2K resolution, a narrow bezel design, full depth. Talking about the camera setup, the standard variant of Xiaomi 15 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens.
