The Nothing Ear (open) earbuds have pinch controls that allow users to manage playback, skip tracks, answer calls, and switch between ANC or Transparency mode. They can also be used to launch the virtual assistant or adjust the volume. With the advanced equalizer and profile-sharing feature, users can further customize their sound preferences.

They are lightweight at just 8.1 grams per earbud, while the charging case weighs 63.8 grams. The fast-charging feature claims to provide 2 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of charge. Both the earbuds and case of the Nothing Ear (open) are IP54 rated, making them suitable for workouts and light rain.
