MG Comet EVs Become Affordable With Battery Rental, Comet EV Starting Price Rs 4.99 Lakh

Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) have grown rapidly in the last few years. However, due to the high prices of these vehicles, they are out of reach of many customers. MG Motor has started the option of battery rental to make its EV affordable. This has reduced the starting price of the company’s lowest priced electric car Comet EV to Rs 4.99 lakh. For this, customers will have to pay a price of Rs 2.5 per kilometer.

A media Report It has been told that with this option, the price of MG Motor’s ZS EV will start from Rs 13.99 lakh. In this, battery rental of Rs 4.5 per kilometer will have to be paid. This option being given by the company is being called Battery as a Service. Along with this, customers will also have the option of assured buyback price of 60 percent after three years of buying the vehicle. MG Motor said that the recently launched Windsor EV with the option of battery rental has received a good response. Due to this, it is also being brought for other EV models of the company.

With the Windsor EV, MG Motors offered battery-as-a-service. This battery rental option will reduce the cost of the vehicle and users will have to pay only for the use of the battery. Customers using this service will have to pay Rs 3.5 per kilometer. The aim of this facility is to make electric vehicles more affordable. This electric crossover has connected LED lights on both the front and rear. It has 18-inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics.

A charging port is provided on its front left fender. Windsor EV is available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black. Its cabin is designed keeping in mind the experience of both luxury and technology. It has black leatherette seats. Its flat bottom steering wheel is also wrapped in leatherette. Bookings for Windsor EV will start from October 3 and delivery will start from October 12. Reclining seats are provided at its rear. There is a 15.6 touchscreen on the dashboard of Windsor EV. Along with this, there is an 8.8-inch digital display for the driver.
