Intermittent Fasting Boots Weight Loss and Heart Health in People with Obesity Says Study

Nowadays, many people are resorting to fasting to control or eliminate obesity, or ‘fasting’ in English. These days, intermittent fasting has also come in great practice. As the name suggests, a fast that provides gaps between taking food. That is, fasting based on a certain interval calls intermittent fasting. Such fasting now supports another study that provides evidence that intermittent fasting is helpful in increasing weight loss, and increasing important physical processes to reduce obesity.

Researchers from different institutions in Spain together have conducted this study. The purpose of this study was to understand how intrormual fasting programs, such as time restricted eating, affecting fat-loss and health. The study included 197 participants between the ages of 30 to 60, who were placed in the category of overweight or obesity.

During 12 weeks, these participants were given guidance related to nutrition. The participants were consuming the Mediterranean diet during this period.
