Huawei to Soon Launch Triple Fold Smartphone Mate XT Ultimate Design in International Market, Google, Samsung, Xiaomi

Earlier this month, Chinese electronics company Huawei introduced the first tri-fold smartphone in China. The company is getting a strong demand for this smartphone. It went out of stock at the beginning of its sale. Mate XT Ultimate Design will soon be launched in the international market.

One of GSMArena’s Report According to, Huawei has said that this foldable smartphone will be launched in the international market in the first quarter of next year. The base variant of this smartphone with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is priced at CNY 19,999 (approximately Rs 2,35,900). Its 512 GB and 1 TB storage variants are priced at CNY 21,999 (approximately Rs 2,59,500) and CNY 23,999 (approximately Rs 2,83,100) respectively. Mate XT Ultimate Design has been made available in Red and Black colors. This dual SIM smartphone runs on HarmonyOS 4.2 out-of-the-box. Its screen is 10.2 inches (3,184 x 2,232 pixels) when unfolded. The flexible LTPO OLED screen of this smartphone measures 7.9 inches (2,048 x 2,232 pixels) when folded once, and 6.4 inches (1,008 x 2,232 pixels) when folded for the second time.

The company has not given information about the processor of Mate XT Ultimate Design. It has a 50-megapixel camera on the outside with optical image stabilization (OIS) and aperture between f/1.2 and f/4.0. This smartphone has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5.5x optical zoom and f/3.4 aperture. An 8-megapixel camera is available on its display for selfie and video call. With this smartphone, Huawei can give tough competition to South Korea’s Samsung in the rapidly growing market of foldable smartphones. American devices maker Apple plans to bring a clamshell style foldable device.

Huawei introduced the foldable smartphone Pocket 2 in February. Xiaomi, one of the big smartphone companies, also plans to bring a tri-fold smartphone. Recently, Xiaomi has filed a patent application for this smartphone with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
