can smartphones cause brain cancer WHO new study reveals truth

Can smartphone cause brain cancer? You must have read many times that using a smartphone has some bad effects on our body parts. It is also heard that when we listen to a smartphone by putting it on our ears during a call, its radiation affects the brain. So is smartphone really causing brain cancer? WHO i.e. World Health Organization has released a latest report on this.

World Health Organization (WHO) says that smartphone use does not cause brain cancer. Many studies have been done on this subject before. The World Health Organization reopened 63 such studies and analyzed them. These studies were conducted between 1994 and 2022. By combining the data of the research done in all these, a conclusion emerged (via) that there is no evidence that radiation from smartphones causes brain cancer.

The radiation emitted from smartphones is known as radiofrequency (RF) radiation. RF radiation is used not only in mobile phones but also in smart TVs, baby monitors and other devices. The researchers studied many types of cancer including brain cancer, pituitary gland cancer, salivary gland cancer, leukemia, etc.

The report says that there has not been any significant increase in brain cancer cases as compared to the speed at which the use of mobile phones has increased in the last few decades. WHO has not confirmed that smartphones cause brain cancer. This news may be a relief for mobile users around the world. But this does not mean that smartphones do not have any side effects on our body.

This research of WHO still needs to be done with other health agencies and research. There is a need to study further about any kind of health risk associated with RF radiation. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) still puts mobile phone radiation in Group 2B i.e. Possibly Carcinogenic. That is, IARC believes that there is a possibility of cancer due to mobile radiation.

The scope for more in-depth research in this area cannot be denied. Wireless devices are rapidly spreading among people. Therefore, its effects on health can be understood only by continuing research in this field.
