Ather co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta confirmed the start of production of the Ather Rizta through a social media post. He also shared a picture of the first electric scooter model of the batch. In his post, he wrote, “First production version of the Rizta [प्रोडक्शन] They’ve started to step out of line!”
Ather Rizta was launched in early April. The price of the e-scooter in India starts at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has introduced two variants S and Z in it. The e-scooter will be available in color options like Pangong Blue, Cardamom Green, Alphonso Yellow, Deccan Grey, Siachen White and Deccan Grey.
The company has launched Ather Rizta as a family scooter. This scooter comes with a 900mm long seat and the compartment underneath is also quite large. A lot of items of daily needs can be kept in it. The scooter has a total space of 56 liters. The battery also comes in different sizes according to the variants. Rizta S comes with a 2.9kWh battery which can run it up to 105 kilometers. In the Rizta Z variant, the company has again given two options for the battery. One comes with a 2.9kW battery, while the other comes with a 3.7kWh battery. Its range is said to be 125 kilometers.
The company is giving a warranty of 5 years or 60 thousand kilometers with the battery of the electric scooter. Apart from this, support of IP67 rating is also available here. The Z model has a 7-inch TFT display. It also has Bluetooth connectivity and navigation feature. Rizta S has a Deepview LCD display which is also available in Ather 450S. The company has given two ride modes in Rizta which include Smart Eco and Zip. The company says that the electric scooter can run at a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
